Friday Favorite: Wet practice

This poor guy came home from soccer practice in 42 degree, plaster your clothes to your skin rain.  He was freezing (and probably not thrilled to spend the extra three minutes to pose), but it gave me the perfect opportunity to practice this technique that I’ve been hankering to try.  He’s so good to me.

Well you did a great job. I can see it dripping off his nose and cheek! That story makes me cold.ReplyCancel

Friday Favorite: Macro Homework

I’m very excited to be taking a macro class.  This is my first homework assignment.  I’ve found macro in Seattle to be a little difficult.  There is just no light!  Next assignment coming soon.

Friday Favorite: Panning

The class I’m taking assigned panning for our assignment last week.  You’ve seen my panning assignments before, but they’re always fun.  Mostly because the kids are so willing to participate.  You don’t get much better cooperation than when you yell, “Now go really fast!!!” Unfortunately, I was so busy panning, I forgot to be the…

Friday Favorite: Ice Castles

Our last night in Park City we visited the nearby Ice Castles.  It was amazing.  It was even worth walking around for two hours on uneven icy ground with a sprained ankle when I saw the kids’ faces.

Just wanted to let you know I am sitting here on hold with the car rental company and the airline sorting out some moving stuff and while I’m waiting, your blog is what I am ENJOYING!! 🙂 Love these photos. What a beautiful story and special moments you have preserved! One of my faves is Drew in the airplane with his yelling face (I think he’s yelling??). Love these ice castles, too. Golly I want to go there!! How cool!

Can’t wait to see you. 🙂 Love you Tam!ReplyCancel

Friday Favorite: Playing Chicken

We visited friends last week and had so much fun with them.  I miss this little guy.  Wherever he is, mischief is close by.  He decided it would be fun to help the poor chickens learn to fly. We took a walk in the evening to see the sunset.  It set beautifully over the mountain…

Week two took a couple of days to get off the camera and post.  I’m still in the “read your manual” week of my project, so no amazing photography, but this is a capture of a really fun moment.  My youngest finds he really loves being the older cousin.  And he’s pretty good at it!

Trampolines + sprinklers.  Add three boys and some popsicles, and summer does not get any better than that.

The kids and I went on a field trip today to the UW for the cherry blossoms and the Burke Museum.  And some wonderfully nostalgic cuisine from “The Ave.”  It was a great day.  This is my favorite shot of the morning.  More of the actual cherry blossoms coming soon.
