This week my family arrived home to find this night sky:
We ran outside with a handful of the neighbors to look and take pictures. I wanted a clear shot without houses in the way, and no matter what I stood on top of or laid down on, I couldn’t get it from our street. (Though you all would have been entertained to watch me try). So, at Hubby’s prodding, I set out to drive up the road to a spot we believed would give me that shot. My budding photographer son asked to come along, and we took off with our gear. Three stops later, without a clear shot and worried about losing our sunset, we decided to go for it and drive to the beach. When we pulled up, my son gasped, “this is going to be awesome!” And it was. Gorgeous sunset date at the beach with my boy. It was a perfect summer night.
