Seattle Skyline

I had no idea how early you have to get to a spot with a view to stake out your territory.  Luckily, we had dinner with us so we could set up the tripod and enjoy watching the sun go down and the lights come on.  Skylines are a new skill for me, and it might take a while to learn to be creative, rather than just capturing the image at the correct exposure.  For right now, that was a small victory.  If you want to check out a great city-scape photographer, one of my favorites is Kevin Miller.  (He did the picture that hangs in our entryway).  You can link to him here.

And I entered my photo in a contest at Winkflash.  You can see it (and vote for me, if you feel like it) here.

Jeannie says you shouldn’t write comments like you don’t know what you are doing, because you actually do and you are super good at it! I love all three, but I think my favorite is the middle one where the sky is still blue and you can barely see Mt. Rainier but the lights are all on. So cool!ReplyCancel
