Stake Out

My little guy and I went to scope out a new indoor photo location today.  Seattle sunshine is just too unreliable.  He had to have his picture taken, but he was pretty easily appeased with a lolly today.  I used to feel guilty about this method until we recently ran into another dad in the ski lift line, doling out goldfish while we paid up in M&M’s.  He smiled and commented, “Show me a parent who doesn’t believe in bribery, and I’ll show you an ineffective parent.”  So glad I’m not the only one who feels this way!

Swanson’s Nursery in Seattle. We took pictures in the area around the cafe. The sweet little ladies eating their lunch didn’t seem to mind a cute kiddo who was talking to the fish. 🙂ReplyCancel

What a fun kid! I think next time you take him to stake something out, you should definitely take his ski helmet; have him wear it in the car on the way and then take it off and start snapping like crazy. 🙂 His hair is so much more tame in these pics than when we saw you this weekend. 🙂 (It looks great, don’t get me wrong.) 🙂 The color and light looks pretty.ReplyCancel

So did you like the location? Some friends asked me to do their photos… I’m kind-of nervous. I referred them to you but she said she didn’t mind that I had no experience. But, I have no equipment whatsoever so anywhere with good naturally lighting will be awesome!ReplyCancel

I did like the location, but I don’t think there would be enough space for bigger people. I was backed all the way up to take these. I decided after the stakeout that there wasn’t enough room to do the maternity shoot I have coming up. Molbak’s in woodinville was another suggestion I received. If you try it and like it, please let me know!ReplyCancel
