Anniversary Date

I’m finishing up organizing and assembling the family photo album for the year, and came across these pictures that I forgot all about.  They’re from June, so I’m only a little bit behind.  Hubby took me on a date downtown to Pike Place Market for our anniversary.  We walked and ate all day long.  It was glorious.  (Thanks to his bro for watching the kids!)   This was my first attempt at trying to capture the feel of my home town through a lens.  It is a harder skill than I realized, but I really enjoyed the challenge.

Fruit stand at Pike Place Market

In Post Alley

We went on a search through Post Alley to find the Gum Wall

My favorite little tea shop in the market.  It is so small you can’t fit two people in an aisle.

I loved these colorful umbrellas overhead.  We ended up eating (second) lunch here,  just so I could enjoy the umbrellas and look out over the market.

The flowers are always my favorite thing in the market.

Our marriage started with bookshops and ice cream.  Thirteen years later, we went looking for the same things.
